Overview

The Green Energy Lab is a unique, mobile energy classroom which focuses on energy generation and consumption. It contains a stand-alone 12 volt electricity system that also powers 240 volt appliances through an inverter installed in the trailer. TV monitors display energy related information including real time power generation and power consumption of the energy system.

The Green Energy Lab is available to visit schools and select community events to provide an introduction to renewable energy and energy consumption.

School visit activities are managed by teaching staff from the Toohey Forest Environmental Education Centre and are structured to cater for a single class group of upper primary or secondary students. Each class will require approximately 1 hour to complete the full range of work stations. Teacher support resources and student workbooks are provided upon confirmation of your booking.
