Description

  • White cylindrical stem
  • a conical head that is white but olive-brown when covered with the spore slime
  • a white net is attached below the conical head which encircles the stem like a skirt
  • when mature it has a fetid smell like rotting meat or sewage which attracts flies

Habitat

Found in sheltered positions in the forest litter or deep humus.

Distribution

Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.
